Faith Formation


This process is designed to catechize adults who are interested in becoming Catholic or renewing their bond with the Church.
Time commitment: Varies depending on needs of catechumens and candidates.

Religious Education

Children have the opportunity to explore their faith and the Sacraments in this ongoing process. Volunteers serve as teachers for classes and Sacramental programs. Families must be registered parishioners Immaculate Conception/St. Bridget’s Church. Children attending public school are expected to be in a parish religious education program each school year.

Religious Education Teachers

Trained volunteers teach children in preschool through Grade 9 about the Catholic faith. Lessons and materials are provided. Volunteers who work with children, youth or vulnerable adults are required to sign a Diocese of Rochester Volunteer Code of Conduct, complete the Criminal Record Check process and participate in Creating a Safe Environment training. All of these volunteers must participate in renewal of training as determined by the Diocese of Rochester.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

Children’s Liturgy of the Word presents the Liturgy of the Word in a simplified, interactive form to children 4 years or older during the 10am Sunday Masses.
Time commitment: Each Week from October to May.
